Q.Do you charge for appointments?
A. Yes and No. We do not charge for bridal appointments, but we do charge £25 for maids appointments. This charge only applies to non LilyRose brides.

Q. What prices do your dresses start from?
A. We have a wonderful selection of dresses that can be bought off the peg, they start at around £400. Our to order dresses start at around £1000 and go up to around £2500.

Q.How many guests can I bring with me?
A. We can accommodate the bride and a maximum of 4 guests. Our 2 private fitting rooms are beautiful and spacious for the bride and all the dresses she wants to try on, which leaves just enough room for 4 guests to sit comfortably and enjoy watching their beautiful bride swishing around.

Q.How long are the appointments.
A.We allocate 2 hours for each wedding dress appointment (maids appointments are dependent on how many maids are in the party). We find 2h hours is the perfect time to relax and enjoy the moment without feeling under time pressure.

Q.What can I expect to happen during an appointment?
A. We will ask you a few questions when you arrive, to find out if you have any ideas or pictures of what you like, what type of wedding you are having, if you have a theme and if you have a price point in mind. We will go through a few dresses with you and let you look and pick some out by yourself. We will listen to everything you say about each dress and will then go and pick out others for you by your likes and dislikes of what you have already tried on. We would say 95% of brides will choose something completely different to what they thought they would choose, so having an open mind and trusting our expertise is a must.

Q.How long does it take for a dress to arrive and when should I start my dress search ?
A. Most to order dresses normally take around 4-6 months to arrive. Some designers can take up to 8 months, and you also need to allow for any unexpected delays and fittings. We recommend starting your dress search when you feel ready to say yes to the dress. Some brides feel the time is right a couple of years before, but most will find 12 months before the perfect time. A lot of things are planned around the dress so being organised is not a bad thing. We also have and can turn around a wedding dress in as little as a week, for those short time frame brides, so whether you are getting married in 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years we can sort you out a dress.

Q. Is there anything in particular I should wear or bring with me?
A. Don’t go out and buy anything special for your appointment, but if you have a strapless bra then it’s a bonus, if not we just pop the straps down and hide them, or if you are feeling confident, we take it off. If you are really nervous about getting undressed with us in the fitting room with you, we recommend wearing leggings, cycling shorts, or tights. They make no difference under a dress and we just want you to feel comfortable and relaxed during your appointment.

We are a bit like nurses. We take absolutely no notice of you undressed, only when you have a beautiful wedding dress on.
We also have comfortable trying on shoes from a size 3-8.

Q.Whats the size range of dresses in your boutique and how many different styles do you have?
A.We have over 150 wedding dresses to choose from, we have many of our dresses in 2 sizes, so every bride gets the same choice whatever her size.

Our wedding dress sample sizes start at a size UK 8 and go up to a size UK 32. We can order any of our dresses from a UK 4-36.

We have over 100 different styles of maids that can be ordered in around 80 different colours and we have most of these in at least 2 sizes.

Q.Do you have a seamstress, is everything done at the boutique?
A. Yes we have the wonderful amazing Jo who is absolutely incredible – a real fairy godmother. We really couldn’t be without her.
Jo Is self-employed and her studio is 2 doors away from the boutique. We work very closely with Jo and everything is booked through us and all fittings take place in the boutique.

Q. Do you have parking at the boutique?
A. We only have 30 mins outside the boutique, but we are surrounded by free on road parking and car parks. There is a school by the shop on Priory Road called St Nicholas, its a 2 min walk away and there is 2 hours free on road parking right outside it. Most of our brides park there.

Abbey end car park is probably the nearest pay and display car park to us, about a 5 min walk, when you use the alleyways, see map on how to find us.
